Eacham Shire
The Shire of Eacham, formed in November 1910 from sections of Tinaroo, Johnstone and Cairns local authorities, covered an area of 1,126.4 square kilometres. It existed as a separate entity until 2008, when it amalgamated with the Atherton, Herberton and Mareeba councils to become the Tablelands Regional Council.
The council initially met in Yungaburra before relocating its offices to Malanda in April 1913. However, the council chambers did not open until February 1939.
