Napranum Aboriginal Shire
Located on the western side of Cape York Peninsula, on Awngthim and Anguthimri country around Weipa, the Aboriginal Shire of Napranum consists of several disjoint parts of the locality of Mission River, with the town of Napranum (formerly Weipa South) as its administrative centre. The rest of Mission River remains in the Cook Shire.
