Takalak
According to Norman Tindale, theTakalak people (a.k.a. Tagalag, Dagalang, Da:galag, Takalaka, Targalag, Tarkalag) occupied around 10,000 square kilometres in the Gulf Savannah region around the Middle Gilbert River and the townships of Croydon, Normanton, and East Hayden, with a northern border towards the Einasleigh River and a southern boundary in the vicinity of the Gregory Range. Their territory extended east to Georgetown and Forsayth, with a western boundaries around Croydon.
