Wik-Kalkan

According to Norman Tindale's reckoning, the Wik-Kalkan (alternatively. Wik-Natera, Wik-ngatara (erroneous term), Wik Alkän, Wik-Elken, Wikkalkin, Wik-nätara, Algan, Ngadara) occupied around 780 square kilometres in a narrow strip along the coast between the Archer River and Cape Keerweer.

Peter Sutton places them along the coast between the Knox River and Love River and inland to Kencherang. He notes that some clan-based varieties of Wik-Ngatharr — most northern of the Wik languages — call their language Wik-Elkanh, have estates intermingled with those of the Wik-Ngathan and that the two groups speak what are (technically) distinct dialects of the same language with similar grammar but different vocabularies.
