Aliquis



Barque bound from Sydney to Calcutta when she was wrecked on a reef near the Mount Adolphus Islands on 15 May 1839. The Argyle rescued all on board the vessel, which was subsequently set on fire.

The Aliquis, which left this port on the 3d May, for Calcutta, was wrecked near Mount Adolphus, in Torres' Straits. The crew were picked up the Argyle, in which vessel they went on to Calcutta. (Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser. 10 August 1839. p. 2. (Trove))
