Etheridge Railway

Built between 1907 and 1910 by the Chillagoe Railway and Mining Company as a private line, the heritage-listed Etheridge railway line branches off the Mareeba-to-Chillagoe line at Almaden and runs for 229 kilometres to Forsayth via Mount Surprise and Einasleigh
The Chillagoe Railway and Mining Company constructed the railway line from Mareeba to Chillagoe and Mungana between 1898 and 1901.
The railway line was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 16 February 2009.
