Queensland Steam Shipping Company
The Queensland Steam Shipping Co. was formed in 1881 to operate Australian coastal services between Sydney, Cooktown and Burketown. Later services were extended to Thursday Island. In 1887 the Queensland Steam Shipping Co. merged with Australasian Steam Navigation Co. to form Australasian United S.N. Co.
