Boomer Range
Located on the edge of Darumbal country about 80 kilometres northwest of Rockhampton, in the Great Dividing Range, the Boomer Range is known for persistent strong winds, which make it suitable for generating wind energy. The area is being developed as the Boomer Green Energy Hub within the Central Queensland Renewable Energy Zone. There is also a significant copper prospect.
