Duyfken Point
Located on Cape York Peninsula's western coast within the modern-day locality of Mission River in Anguthimri country in the Cook Shire, Duyfken Point was named after Willem Jansz's vessel on 8 November 1802 by Matthew Flinders. Jansz was the first known European to sight Australia's coast in 1606.
