Trinity Beach
Located in Djabugay Country between Yorkeys Knob and Kewarra Beach on the Captain Cook Highway, Trinity Beach is the fourth of Cairns' northern beaches. The locality, which lies around 16 kilometres north-northwest of the city's CBD, takes its name from Trinity Bay.
Australian and American troops used the beach for intensive training in amphibious warfare during World War II.
