Wangetti
Located on the Captain Cook Highway in Yirrganydji Country in the Douglas Shire, 23 kilometres south-southeast of Port Douglas and 36 kilometres northwest of Cairns, the coastal locality of Wangetti (formerly known as Hartleys Creek) is mostly undeveloped. Apart from a small area of freehold land around the township, and Hartley's Crocodile Adventures zoo and farm, the vast majority of the locality lies within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area's Macalister Range National Park. The park's status as an important cassowary habitat means there is no public access.
