Murray Falls

Located in the foothills of the Kirrama Range, 25 kilometres northwest of Cardwell in Wargamaygan Country, within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, Murray Falls is approximately halfway between Cairns and Townsville. The falls are the major attraction within the western section of Girramay National Park, accessed by turning off the Bruce Highway at Bilyana, north of Cardwell or at Murrigal, south of Tully. Either way, a 20-kilometre drive ends at a day-use area with multiple small waterholes spread out along the Murray River's upper reaches.

The falls can be viewed from a boardwalk and viewing platform at the bottom or an upper platform overlooking the falls, accessed via a walk through the rainforest. The day area has wheelchair-accessible toilets, and camping is permitted.
