Walsh River
From headwaters near Watsonville (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Uzp2Sk61p53pXRU36)— around ten kilometres north of Herberton on the Atherton Tableland— the Walsh River flows north to cross the Burke Developmental Road east of Mutchilba before turning west to discharge into the Mitchell River between Gamboola and Wrotham, draining an area of 8,958 square kilometres.
William Hann named the stream after pastoralist and politician William Henry Walsh (Secretary for Public Works 1870-73) in July 1872,
