Clarke Connors Range
Running roughly parallel to the coast, the rainforest-covered Clarke Range extends from the area west of Lake Proserpine through the 950-square-kilometre Eungella National Park and the Pioneer River's headwaters. To its west, the Broken River flows northwards to join the Burdekin.
A party led by John Mackay were the first Europeans to cross the range in May 1860.
