Gayndah
Located on the Burnett River in Waka Waka Country, 112 kilometres southwest of Bundaberg, 105 kilometres west of Maryborough, 248 kilometres north-northwest of Brisbane and 215 kilometres north of Toowoomba, Gayndah is the centre of Queensland's largest citrus-growing area. Although the name probably comes from the from the Wakka Wakka, the derivation is unclear — possibly fGu-in-dah/Gi-un-dah (thunder), Ngainta (place of scrub), kunda (range or ridge), or ga-een-ta (bushy land).
