Burnett River
From headwaters in the Great Dividing Range east of Monto, the Burnett River flows south past Eidsvold and Mundubbera, turning east near Gayndah, then northeast to discharge into the Coral Sea at Burnett Heads around 14 kilometres northeast of Bundaberg.
The river, named after James Charles Burnett, drains a 33,210-square-kilometre catchment that is largely given over to sugarcane and small crops.
