Tam O'Shanter Point
Located in Dyirbal Country within the Cassowary Coast Region, Tam O'Shanter Point was named after the barque that delivered Edmund Kennedy's ill-fated expedition to Rockingham Bay by HMS Rattlesnake's Captain Owen Stanley.
The headland, approximately 35 kilometres north-northeast of Cardwell and 49 kilometres south of Innisfail, forms the northern extremity of Rockingham Bay and the southern extremity of South Mission Beach.
