Macrossan
Situated within the locality of Dotswood in Gugu-Badhun Country on the Flinders Highway 18 kilometres east-northeast of Charters Towers, 91 kilometres south-southwest of Townsville and 185 kilometres west of Bowen, the neighbourhood of Macrossan takes its name from the railway station on the Great Northern Railway named after John Murtagh Macrossan.
