North Queensland Meat Export Company
The North Queensland Meat Export Company restarted the Alligator Creek meatworks in the late 1880s as a boiling-down operation, beginning with an annual intake of about twelve thousand cattle. Charles Tindal, a pioneer of the Australian canning and food preservation industry, most likely owned or ran the company.
