Dalby Region
The initial name given to the new Local Government Authority formed as a result of the 2008 amalgamation of the Town of Dalby, the Shires of Chinchilla, Murilla, Tara and Wambo, and Division 2 of the Shire of Taroom.
The name was changed to the more inclusive Western Downs in August 2009.
