Bowen Road
In the new Townsville road network, Bowen Road is the middle section of the 9.9-kilometre Townsville Connection Road, which connects the Flinders Highway in Stuart to North Townsville Road (Woolcock Street) in West End. After its initial incarnation as Stuart Drive, the road becomes the four-lane Bowen Road after crossing the Ross River into Rosslea. From the Rising Sun intersection with Ross River Road and Queens Road, it continues northwards as Charters Towers Road.
