Yalandyic
A subgroup of three languages within the Yimidhirr-Yalanji-Yidinic branch of the Pama-Nyungan language family:
- Djangun:/Djankun was formerly spoken from Mt. Mulligan to Almaden (north-south) and Dimbulah to Mungana (east-west).
- Kuku-Yalanji, including Kuku-Nyungkul and Kuku-Biraji dialects, is being maintained through vigorous use, transmission from parents to children, and some oral and written use, and is valued as part of cultural identity.
- Muluridyi was formerly spoken along the headwaters of the Mitchell River to Mount Carbine, Rumula, Mareeba, and Woodville.
