A subgroup of three languages within the Yimidhirr-Yalanji-Yidinic branch of the Pama-Nyungan language family:


  • Kuku-Yalanji, including Kuku-Nyungkul and Kuku-Biraji dialects, is being maintained through vigorous use, transmission from parents to children, and some oral and written use, and is valued as part of cultural identity.
