Wongkadjera
Norman Tindale's Aboriginal Tribes of Australia places the Wongkadjera (alternatively, Wonkajara, Wonkatyeri, Wonkoyara) on around 6,000 square kilometres around Glenormiston, Herbert Downs and Malvina Creek, extending north towards Roxborough. Their northern horde was probably called Nambila-nambila.
That territory places them towards the northern end of the area the AIATSIS Map of Indigenous Australia assigns to the Wangkamana.
Since the area around Glenormiston was a key producer of pituri, it is suggested that the Wongkadjera and their neighbours, including the Rungarungawa and Julaolinja, used Pituri and Kalkadoon stone axes as trade goods to secure access to the Channel Country along the Georgina and Diamantina Rivers.
The AIATSIS AustLang page for the Wangka-Yutjurru (G5) gives Tindale's location for the Wongkadjera for a language with a diversity of dialects identified by various linguists, including Wangka-Yutjurru, Wangkamanha, Rangwa, Yurla-Yurlanja (or Ulaolinya)/Lhanima.
